This is the only adapter it came with:

here’s a view of the two trailer plugs in the back:

and here’s underneath viewed from the back axle (sorry, not the best photos). I think that’s the battery on the left?

I see you opted for the FX4 package. Are the black (looks like plastic) covers in the left of the undercarriage photos supposedly the “skid plates”, or are they somewhere else? I was under the assumption skid plates would be metal.

Hmm I’m not sure I know which black covers you’re referring to. Do you mean what I’ve circled here? If so, those are the power deploy running boards.

I think Kyle is talking about the black plastic skid plate covering the fuel tank dead center in your picture.

Oh ok, if so that cover is plastic. I think this is the skid plate under the engine area

Is that the only metal skid plate? I want to say the transfer case skid plate is also plastic like the fuel tank one? I can't remember how many skid plates FX4 comes with, but that metal one under the engine is nice, especially since the engine oil pan is plastic. I'll probably buy that metal plate from the parts counter. I hate those felt ones ford uses just behind the metal one in your picture. I guess that is purely for aerodynamics, and maybe to keep some of the water and mud out of things. The non-FX4 trucks will have that felt material instead of the metal one you have.

Thank you, Roger and Luker. I was referring to the areas I circled in blue. I wonder if those are considered part of the skid plate package...

Also thank you for the new pic of the engine skid plate. That’s what I wanted to see.

Per the Ford Build & Price, the FX4 package should include skid plates covering the Fuel Tank, Transfer Case, and Front Differential”.

Hopefully there are few more $1000 pieces of sheet metal under there for you!!

I just checked, the bottom plug is where the trailer sensor kit plugs in. I’m curious to see how it works. I think it’s pretty much the same as previous generation? Waiting until I hit 1,000 miles before I hook up the travel trailer.
That is smart thing to do on a new motor!

Same story as some of the other members here: I ordered a truck in early November, SUPPOSEDLY being built end of January, and delivered to my local dealer who-knows-when. Got fed up, did a search on AutoTrader for 2021 F-150s within a 500 mile radius and manually punched those VINs into the VIN search tool from this site. Found the truck most like what I wanted (has everything I wanted except work surface console - hope to obtain and install later when/if available). Drove to Albuquerque, NM from Flagstaff, AZ yesterday and picked it up! After reading this forum, I was surprised to find a Powerboost + Max Towing + 7.2kw Pro Power Onboard available right now. Feel like I got lucky and very thankful the wait is over.

Couple things I worth noting in the first 350 miles:
- The driver assist features - particularly lane centering - are legit. Can't wait to see what the full self-driving features are when released in Q3 if 2021. The "keep hands on the steering wheel" alert every 13 seconds is extremely annoying.
- I figured the B&O Unleased sound system was going to be good but it is absolutely incredible. Never heard anything like it before. This could just be unique to my vehicle, but the back sliding window rattles pretty badly during some heavy bass. Maybe it will settle and go away.
- It's very difficult to lay your phone on the wireless charging pad without hitting the fan speed switch above that compartment. It's minor but annoying nonetheless.
- The transmission shifting and switching between electric motor and Ecoboost is so seamless it's hard to even know its happening unless you're watching the digital gauge cluster.
- The materials and workmanship of the stitching, dash, and all surfaces is extremely impressive. Especially coming from a 2014 Lariat. At least in this platinum, it's straight up luxurious.

Happy to answer any questions anyone may have about features etc.!

Maybe someone could post some pics of a non FX4 to compare the skid plates.

I did not order the off road package for my Platinum but am now thinking I should have. What would be good skid plates to install and would you have the dealer do it?

I watched a video of a guy putting the plates on his '19
he got the front aluminum plate---had to remove the fiber sheild.
a steel transfercase plate and hardware----a short boomerang shaped piece
and the plastic fuel tank shield with tank hangars.
The existing tank straps need to be removed and straps with mounting for the shield need to be installed.
he supported the tank and changed one strap at a time.
he said it took him all of about 45 minutes for everything.

Parts were about $320

15mm & 13mm socket and ratchet and maybe a pliers and crescent

floor jack would be a plus, but a bottle jack and a few short 2x4 will work too

He did not even jack up the truck----floor jack was to support the tank while he removed one strap and replaced it----then moved to the front strap.
