There are different load rating stickers on the F150s Trailer Hitch Receiver that appear to depend on the trucks configuration.

  1. How many Trailer Hitch Receiver part numbers are there?
  2. Are the frames, connections, bolts, etc. different?
  3. Is the stickers rating based on the receiver components, truck components, other (please explain)?

Look under the receiver, there'll be a tag.
What really matters is tongue weight and the payload from your yellow door stick that states max cargo capacity.
13% of your trailers GVWR, will determine your tongue weight of a fully loaded trailer.
That tongue weight, subtracted from your payload will give you what you can add to the truck safely.

The top one is typically found on Max tow pkg, while the other is standard tow pkg.

Thanks, is the vertical value on right the Ford Parts number?
Yes.

Top is my 2022 Lariat with Max Tow, bottom is a 2021 PB with unknown tow package.

Again, your payload is what will dictate what you can tow, regardless of the receiver.

Thanks. Interesting that they rated the max weight carrying limit at 5K lbs for both PNs. I wonder what is driving that value if the HL is designed for heavier loads?
