Trading my 2014 F150

I found two 2019 F150 I liked, same price range $35K one has 24,000 miles came from commercial and private leasing, not regular oil changes and not at a dealer, second has 40,000 miles, one lease and regular at dealer oil changes intervals. Any help choosing will be appreciated! Thanks.

IMO ya gotta consider the 'total package' (trim, colors, options, etc) to decide what's the best fit for you and only you can do that.

If you're gonna keep this one 5-years or more the mileage & maintenance history difference is probably negligible, easily offset by other pros-and-cons of the vehicles.

Remaining warranty might be a factor but you need both miles and the "In Service Date" (get that from a Ford Dealer with the VINs) to evaluate that and remember the drivetrain warranty is longer than the B-to-B warranty.

IMO ya need to make a detailed comparative checklist of differences, apply your best judgment weighting factor to the +/- tally based on your preferences, and go with your gut.

No-one else is you, no one can do that for you from afar.

Thank you! it’s tough, almost same package mine is gray the new trucks are gray and metallic, the $40k miles has good maintenance but smells bad, might be heavy cigar smoker while the metallic with less miles does have the manufacture 5year warranty it was definitely used… many marks on the bed liner. But I agree at the end it has to be my liking and future plans.

Don't buy a vehicle that has been smoked in. It will smell forever.

True! Many years ago I had that problem with a Ranger and it was never completely resolved, I just got used to it… good point. Ty.

Nothing trumps regular oil changes. I would not touch the truck with no oil changes. Inside that engine is most likely gunk and will not last .
