Towing capacity?

Just picked up my 21 XL with the V8 and 3.73. The dealer told me it should tow approximately 10,500 no problem. How do I calculate the capacity? Just trying to make sure I'm as accurate as can be

Congrats! I have the same engine and rear differential gearing. Due to tongue weight, actual towing capacity is often limited by your payload. So, work backwards from your yellow payload sticker. There are a bunch of threads in the tow-haul section of the "other" forum. Good luck and have fun!

Yep Like @Blueshound advised above start at your payload sticker. FWIW I have yet to meet a sales person for any mfg that actually knows anymore than what they advertise which is usually incorrect.

There's also a sticker on the hitch specific to the vehicle. But as the other two posts mentioned, you will likely max your payload capacity before you max your towing capacity!
