Towing Capacity?

All,

Newer to trucks and towing and have a bit of an emergency with needing to move for work. U-Haul is requesting a towing capacity and just need some help on how to calculate that with the truck. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

You can look in the brochure. It has a towing guide that breaks towing out based on motor, gearing, and cab. Just matchup with what you ordered.

Hopefully, the 2022 tow guide will show up. There is a 2022 tow guide for the F150.

Assuming you have a 1/2 ton truck, your towing capacity would be around 6,000-7,000 pounds. This can vary depending on the make and model of your truck as well as whether or not it is 4-wheel drive. For example, a Ford F-150 4x4 has a towing capacity of 8,700 pounds. You can generally find your truck's towing capacity in the owner's manual. If you don't have the owner's manual, you can also look up the towing capacity online.
