2022 Ford F150 Lariat
I have a 2022 F150 VIN 1FTFW1E84NFC37124 that came with factory installed power adjust/power fold color matched mirrors. I researched through forums as well as multiple ford parts dealers for a plug and play option for trailer tow mirrors and landed on purchasing Ford tow mirrors with power adjust, without power folding and without power extend. Part number on my invoice shows ML3Z-17696-BA. F-150 2021-2024 Trailer Tow Mirrors - Black - Fits Vehicles With Factory Power Mirrors, Manual Telescope, Manual Fold, B | Accessories.Ford.com

Mirrors fit and the plug has the same shape, but it appears that the wiring harness and pins do not line up with the replacement mirrors. I have power to the mirrors for some functions, but I cannot power adjust the mirror in and down. Is anyone aware of a different wiring harness that may be available to solve this issue that I had missed from forums detailing this upgrade.

Pictures attached show the button cluster plug, the plug at the mirror as well as the original mirror plug.

Also, I have had this at the dealership and asked them to solve the issue and the response I got was the wiring doesn't match and those mirrors aren't meant for that truck, but that model number mirror shows up when entering the VIN number in the ford parts app as a compatible mirror.

Any help or direction would be greatly appreciated.

Once you change from as built Ford service is useless. There a some great people on here that will can help. Try asking Jesse-Infotainment on these forums. Just search his name then ask him. See if he has ideas. I went from manual fold mirrors to power and it was a pain. Good luck you will get your answers.

Buyer’s wiring harness may be the best option. What most likely happened is the cheaper tow mirrors have a different pin-out than the OEM ones your vin is compatible with.
Easiest fix is to get the compatible parts, if you have the patience, slowly go through and match the pins to the correct locations

Perhaps of additional help, connector view diagrams, correlate "Cxxx" to connector numbers in previously posted wiring diagrams, Good Luck!

Have you come up with a solution yet?

I'm hoping when these are back in stock, they will be the answer:

Old thread -- Trucks moving from memory mirrors (lariat+) to non memory mirrors likely need to have memory mirrors disabled in the PDM/DDM. Typically with memory functions the controller is looking to see feedback on the potentiometer as it moves. If it doesn't see feedback it can only very briefly move in a 'tick' fashion where it takes numerous button pushes per 'tick' movement to get into position.

Using forscan, go into both the PDM and the DDM changing this to 00 from 03
