My dealer told me 10 weeks under NORMAL circumstances.
Might be a bit long.
Nothing about this last year has been normal

I placed a order for a fairly standard KR over 2 months ago, my dealer tells me he has not heard a word from Ford as to VIN or Build information. He hopes to hear something by late spring .

I ordered Nov 1st and mine is due Jan 25th.

Each monday my dealer sends me an email screenshot from ford a status update that shows my order number and current status.... so I get to see it direct. After a month, I got my vin assigned, which now allows me to use a few tracking sites (one being ford) to see what 'he sees' for the most part.

If yours has been 2 months, and isn't a diesel, then something HAS to be wrong.

Mine is a hybrid, lariat, work surface, two-tone paint, anti-matter, full chrome package, 502a, 20" tires, etc... so none of those are holdups of any kind.

I agree, it does seem like I could get some information, I spoke with the dealer (owner) yesterday and he has no more information than the day I placed the order .

Random data point: For me it was 12 weeks from day of order with dealer to day of taking the truck home.

I think maybe the guys that have their trucks already, or plan on taking delivery before the end of Jan., ordered trucks that the dealer ordered as “stock” or inventory vehicles.

Mine is a retail order and ordered in August.
I FINALLY got a scheduled build week of 1-18 on Dec 1. The day Ford reached OKTB.
That is nearly 7 weeks from scheduling to production.
Then I got a date of 1-19 for build
On Dec 18, I got notice the build had been pushed back to 1-25.
Probably won’t see this until the middle of February.

Some of the guys here have ordered on trucks that have already been scheduled to build ( ordering from dealers pending inventory) or vehicles already produced and pending shipment..

I get it. Some have ordered and keep watching for an acceptable vehicle to show up before their order Is produced.

With the powers that be ordering the upper trim levels and stocking with those, they are hoping to get people to step up.

I will not be in a position to do this—I have to wait.
I am one of three that has ordered a Super Cab 8’ 4x4 and the only one that ordered the lower trim level XLT 301a

I ordered what I wanted and left off the stuff I don’t need or want.

If someone ordered a RETAIL in late Nov. or in Dec, pretty sure they will have a longer than 10 week wait.

Those that have ordered and then bailed to get something coming in, all’y’all are being bullies (grinning at you, you lucky opportunistic clowns).

If I even had the slightest interest in a crew cab with a six cylinder, I might do the same thing

First week of December
12-3. Some left turning moron turning from a thru lane all but killed my 98 k1500.
As of today, have not yet heard from that guy’s insurance in person.
All email and they want me to do their work.
I’m done taking pics and emailing them.
My truck is now at a frame shop to get the front horns back into position
I hope to have this going before my new one is built.

The Tuesday following the wreck, the Ranger decided the fuel pump was bad and I had to dig one of the hot rods out of the garage to get to work.
Get that fixed and it is now tossing a p0420 code—-bad cat.
This truck should have gone to a new owner over a month ago.

This time of the year if my dealer told me that long I would look for a different dealer.

Got an email this morning that prompted a very angry phone call to that insurance company.
Right out of the gate this morning an email tells me to fill out some forms as they are coming to get my pickup.
Then I get a call asking where the truck is so they can pick it up.

Sorry—not surrendering my truck to them or anybody else.
After more than 30 days waiting to hear something from them, I chose to go on with getting it repaired without their help—so, at the frame shop as of yesterday ( drives just fine by the way)

And to top it off—-I get another email stating that I now must return my rental car.
These insurance companies are operated by morons.
They are not paying impound fees nor rental car fees as the truck was towed home and I just started using a different personal car.

These guys are nuts.
The upside is, despite the horrible case handling, the reimbursement for my loss is more than fair. I just have no desire to go looking for a replacement truck and get something I don’t know the history of or how it will behave in the long run.
I’ve had this Chev about 10 years now and have replaced engine and virtually everything touching it, transfer case, it has new tires, is dead nuts reliable, dead quiet with windows up, and completely rattle and squeak free.
Not likely the new truck will gain the same favor for quite some time.
