Ticking noise

I got a 2023 F150 with the 5.0 which recently got a Whipple installed and some GT500 injectors. After it’s been ticking. Not sure if it’s normal or not.
Anyone have this issue? Or know what the issue could be?

Curious why they put GT-500 high flow port injectors on a primarily direct injected engine? The 5.0 in your F-150 uses direct injection as primary (90%) at wide open throttle. Only 10% of fueling is covered by the port injectors at high loads. Wouldn’t this effect mixing without a special tune for the new injectors potentially cylinder washing with excess fuel in the worst case or running rich best case? Who did the install?

The GT-500 motor does not have direct injection. Keep in mind it’s possible I am way out in left field and don’t know what I’m taking about, but I would definitely think it needs an optimized tune specifically for those injectors.

It’s custom tuned and was installed and put on the dyno at Livernois Motorsports.

The injectors don't audibly tick where you can actually hear them with the vehicle running. I had them in my truck and also used them in my turbo Mustang.

As far as the ticking is concerned, is it something that changed since the Whipple install or do you not have a baseline to compare it to? Just keep in mind that these 5.0s have lots of parts valvetrain wise and sometimes before oil is fully circulated (proper temperature and pressure) they tend to be a little noisy. Some worse than others...
