Are there any prerequisites that SuperCab will appear in a higher finish than XLT? It is very disappointing that the best version of the cabin is not available in higher trims. As a basic family car, I have MDX Types, a truck is used for special tasks so I don't need a supercrew,
which I do not like and unnecessarily increases the total length of the vehicle.

Last XLT SuperCab was 2023. It is an XL line only option now. I have no idea what is on Ford's mind other than expense to produce. Maybe it is more expensive. I would pay the upcharge to get it on a higher trim line. Plan B was a used 2021 Lariat SuperCab as a result.

My desire is the reason for the discontinuance in all but XL trim line. I apologize profusely to all. I wanted that option in a higher trim line, so they quit making it. Plan B is not bad, however. I will not be piling up mileage on my trucks anymore. Retirement does away with the commute.

Respectfully, that is not correct.

Attached FYI see the 2024, 2025, and 2026 Model Year Order Guide pages showing the XLT still available as a 145"WB SuperCab with some equipment groups.

The Lariat SuperCab was last available in Model Year 2022, it was gone in MY 2023.

The SuperCab has never been available in King Ranch or higher trim Gen 14 F150 Pickups.

Thanking my good karma that I happened to order my much-loved and definite long-term-keeper Lariat SuperCab in MY 2022, I empathize with the OP's sentiments.

I think you have a minority opinion here and the sales back that up.

The margins on mass produced vehicles are pretty small so manufacturers aren't going to waste their time and resources on something that won't maximize profits and sales. Their market research must show that buyers of the upper luxury trims must also want larger cabin spaces.

The website would not let me spec an XLT in a 24 model. So I just assumed........... My 23 was spec'd with all XLT options. It was perfect. Oh well, so much for relying on the website. You learned me something.

I made the mistake of buying a 2022 XLT with the crew cab. The turning radius was worse than having a F-450 truck. A very happy day when I traded in the truck.

The 26's are about to come out, why are you trying to spec a 24? I'm not surprised that Ford doesn't have that available on their website. But you should be able to spec a 25...

A separate issue is that what appears on dealers' lots depends on how their purchasing person specifies the equipment. Very few for example will have the larger capacity gas tank with a truck having the max tow package.

Most people want a truck to take the place of a SUV or mini van and so want seating for 5-6 adults. When I was selling my super cab pickup in 2018 the majority of potential buyers wanted the truck but only with a crew cab.

The solution is to go to a dealer an negotiate the price from the dealer invoice and special order a truck with exactly the equipment you want to have on it.

Again, when I was online my options were limited. 24 came up. I was looking at another truck like my 23 F150 XLT but it was not showing. ALL that showed up is the XL Standard and CrewCab. I could click XLT all day BUT could not get a CrewCab build. Period. I cannot further explain this.

This was well before Ford had thought of 2026's. I can only determine build if I can click on it. What I have learned from my experience is I must show up and get the dealer to spec it. One cannot rely in any way on the website. And it is likely that one cannot rely on the dealer either. Building online gives one options. How those options reflect other factory options immediately comes up. I suspect the dealer works from a spreadsheet unless he can access more than what I can see online. I am not happy but Ford really does not care about its customers. Hence my 2021 USED SuperCab Lariat.

I might add I spec'd a 2023 Yukon Denali XL that exactly matched what a dealer could do. So websites can be designed to work. And it was perfect when it arrived. By the way, the Ford Expedition rides like a truck.

It is/was frustrating and I suspect it will continue to be. But note that I still drive an F150.
