Stopping Tailgate Bounce

This weekend I was hauling some furniture and my bed ramp was over the open tailgate by a few inches, so the tailgate was bouncing the entire ride. Has anyone used a tailgate support/bar to lock the tailgate into position?

For a reasonable price, I'd like to get something to have on hand if I need to keep the take down in the future. The first result searching is the Tailgate Boss from Ride88, but I was wondering if anyone used one of these or a similar product before and has a recommendation.

You can run a strap from a bottle opener to the hitch if you don't have something to weigh the gate down.
