Be patient.

INHUMANLY “patient”.

FORD couldn’t give a Rat’s Ass about YOU and your measly “little” truck order and you will NEVER “hear from Ford” until you’re actually driving your new truck.

THEN you’ll be inundated with junk mail from their worthless, miserable Marketing Dept.

Just try to forget about it. It WILL be built eventually. You WILL get your new truck and you WILL be amazed.

My two cents….

Ive got some bad news for you if your dealer blew smoke up your ass about your truck coming in 8-10 weeks like the old days…It’s a tough wait I know. I’ve got no VIN yet either.

I ordered a MY22 king ranch on 11/20/21. Nothing yet. I had a 10 code which everyone says is good. Hasn’t helped me yet. Dealer told me 16-18 weeks - no way at this point. Just staying patient.

No scheduling last week or this week. Hopefully things get back into a flow in March.

Not necessarily.

I ordered mine on March 20th. My 1st of SEVEN build dates was June 6th.

By my 4th build date I was watching guys who ordered their trucks in May getting them delivered in July.

It’s total chaos at Ford right now.

There is NO rhyme or reason to when your truck gets built. Not “chips”, not “options” NOT “priority code”… NOTHING!

I watched trucks with MORE options and worse priority codes get built and delivered while “I” kept getting rescheduled.

DON’T drive yourself crazy with this shit. There’s no point. Just be patient.

I ordered 7/21 and didn’t get a vin til 12/21. And their build week estimation doesn’t mean jack, they’ve jumped it back thrice.

Like the post above said Ford doesn’t give the tiniest shit about you or your order, and if you negotiated some kind of deal based on it being a custom order vs truck in the lot, your dealer is actively rooting for you to cancel so they can keep it and mark it up by thousands.

I ordered my 21 F150 Platinum on May 10th. A 22 was delivered to me on January 14th, seven months later. The Vin didn’t get issued until a few days before the truck was on the build line. My friend also Waited seven months on his F150 that was ordered in February. It’s a pain to wait that long but, it is a wonderful truck with the most advanced technology out there. (Really Pretty too) I love this truck. Be patient, it’s worth the wait.

8-10 weeks? Every vehicle i have ordered was 3 months min. If a dealer told me 8-10 weeks, i would walk out and find an honest dealer.

I was told "should be 4-6 months" when i ordered my F150.

TODAY..... I got an email notice that my order was confirmed along with this nice little note:
Thanks again for placing your 2022 F-150 LARIAT order. While we’ve been busy working to get your new vehicle into production, we’ve run into a few delays.

Sometimes certain features or options can lengthen the time before a vehicle is scheduled for production.

We know there’s a lot of anticipation when it comes to getting into a new vehicle, so we’ll make sure to keep you updated. Once your vehicle is ready to move into the production schedule, you’ll be hearing from us again.

Dec 24 order... Lariat PB....

I've actually forgotten about it, so it will be surprise when I do actually get a VIN, but I don't think that will be for a long time.

If you only got your first "Confirmation" email (with no VIN or estimated production week) from Ford Motor Company today there's a very high likelihood that your dealer has been blowing smoke about actually promptly and properly submitting your order to Ford. Your dealer may be incompetent or may be playing games with you due to their allocation constraints or other nefarious reasons relating to customer / order preference by them. If so, that truly sux.

If the dealer does their job correctly (provides your email to Ford with your order submittal), you'll get Ford Motor Company's email Confirmation of your order within a few hours of Ford receiving your order from the dealer. An email with your VIN and first (of likely many) production week estimates will follow from Ford when it is first scheduled and then another with each revision.

I’m in the same boat with a 12/22 Lariat PB order. I was upset that nothing had happened with a VIN or scheduling by February. Now I’m assuming Ford won’t be able to deliver my truck this year.
