spacer leveling kit for our F150

I'm looking to raise the front a little bit ( < 2") to get rid of the rake look. instead of paying for a set of lift kit or leveling coilovers, what about just getting the spacers up front? what are the pros and cons of the spacer leveling kit? besides the money saving of course. i do some light duty offroading, and being a Powerboost hybrid, the front end is heavier than others, do spacers work well in those two areas?
