My truck was busted for running board violations. It is one of 7000+~ waiting for hardware update. I’m told dealers can not release new truck with old running board brain.

Any more info on this. I think the one I bought is stuck there because of this.

That's so strange. The power running boards with the issues are exclusive to Dearborn, not KC.
