Rough Country Bed Extender thoughts? Other options?

Just cleaning this up. I ended up getting a used Ford OEM model AL34-99286A41-AA, which I think is for 2015-2020 model trucks, but installed just fine. Had to buy some washers and nuts, and remove the taillights in order to bolt it on, b/c my '23 doesn't have threads where the hole is. Just an open hole. But it works fine.

my camera still works...just points down hahah
parking sensors work fine though.
i'm sure people are just using these when need be, not all the time. you lose the rear camera and park sensors when you tow as well.

I turn those sensors off and for the rare times I need to extend my 6.5 ft bed to 8 I can live without the camera for a trip.

Reviving this thread. Does the ford bed extended obstruct the power ports when folded up?

Gentlemen (probably not descriptive of most of us), This is the part number for the 2015-20 Ford F150 bed extender. FL3Z-99286A40-C

The part number that comes up to fit a 2021-24 F150 is FL3Z-99286A40-B.

The only difference is the last letter. 2020 being C, 2021 being B.

The B is much harder to find and roughly double or more the price of the C.

I am trying to figure out the differences. Otherwise it makes no sense to me.

Any help?

I installed the 15-20 version on my ‘23. No issues. Just had to get some hardware to attach it because my truck didn’t have the built in screw holes. Very easy though. You also have to take rear lights off (very easy).
