Rollaway on 2022 F150 Limited w/Powerboost

Ford just announced a recall on up to a quarter million Ford Explorers due to a "rollaway" problem with the vehicle parked with transmission in PARK. I experienced this on March 13, 2022 with my 2022 Ford F150 Limited with Powerboost. It rolled down a driveway into a dumpster and caused about $ 1650.00 worth of front end damage. I took it to my local Ford dealer and of course they checked it out and said there are no codes on the computer. They suggested that I always use the parking brake in the future! Are we next in line for a recall on this? I THINK SO!

What caused your rollaway ? Did your driveshaft disconnect ?

Documents posted Friday by U.S. safety regulators say that a rear axle mounting bolt can fracture and cause the drive shaft to disconnect. If that happens, the SUVs can roll away even if they are placed in park gear, without the parking brake on.
