Hi all,

My Roll n Lock E-Series failed after a little over a year, it would only open/close part way. It's still under warranty and they said they would send me a new one, which is great support.

Question: Should I replace it with the E-series (electric) or ask for a manually operated A-Series? It's $700 less money, so I assume they would do it. My concern is that it will fail again out of warranty and a mechanical version just has less to go wrong with it. Thoughts? Anyone make this purchase or replacement choice?

Thanks

I think you should replace with another model and then let me know if that fails too. I won't buy one if they keep failing. :)

I had a Roll n Lock on my last two trucks and I'm debating on this new truck. They have really good customer service post sale but their actual sales team sucks. I really liked the last cover (non electric) and it lasted 3 years with no issues. In your case, I'm thinking they're doing a free replacement because it's not a normal failure after only 1 year.

I almost purchased the A series bed cover last month but the sales people made it very clear that they don't care if I purchase or not. I know from experience that they have great customer service but offering incentives and then taking them away each month is a big negative for me and the reason I'm not a current owner.
