I’m attempting to install Rokblokz mudflaps on my 2023 XLT 302a, but on the front where I’m supposed to remove a screw to attach the mudflaps, there is no screw or hole in the fender liner.

There is a tab in the fender and a hole where a screw could be installed.

Do I just need to drill a small hole in the liner? Anyone have advice on the hole size or screw I’ll need?

My guess is you would have to drill one. This is to attach the bracket that the flap will bolt onto. I can take a look at mine tomorrow when it's daylight...

Yeah I figure. Just don’t know the specifics. The screw for this location is the one screw not included in the kit. In the install video he mentions reusing the stock screw so I have no idea what the size is.

As a side note, I did send them an email but being the weekend I doubt I’ll get a reply from them until Monday. Thought maybe someone in here already ran into the issue.

Mine has a plastic wheel liner. Is that the front or rear?

Front wheel well. I thought it was plastic at first but it’s more like very dense felt?

Mines plastic and the hardware is exposed. Try and peel it back and see if there is something the screw into behind it.
Thanks! I’ll give it a look tomorrow when I’ve got some more light.

I poked around a bit today and couldn’t get the liner to budge without sticking a prybar in there and potentially damaging the fender. It’s also too damn cold and rainy outside and I don’t have a shop to park the truck in. ?

I figure I’ll wait for Rokblokz support to respond and I’ll post up the results then.

Yup, it’s a ‘23 XLT 302a with the sport package. Not sure why there’s a difference in the installed fastener location than the ‘21 and ‘22. Maybe ford forgot some parts?

Hmm, maybe for sound damping in the 23s?
It’s the quietest F150 I’ve ever been in, coming from my 2018. Then again I’ve never been in another gen14, so maybe they’re all quieter than the previous gen.
