Any Powerboosters in the Richmond VA area who found an electrician to install a transfer switch on their house? Could you drop a name and about how much you paid? Thanks. (I've had two come out to the house, including one who installs whole house generators for a living. They are not familiar with ProPower and it obviously makes them nervous.)

Thanks. Closest thing I've done to something like this is install a 220 outlet in my wood shop off a subpanel. But I don't understand how the shown arrangement is not a "bonded neutral" and I understand the bonded neutral makes the truck GFI trip. Could you explain to this nucklehead why the truck won't detect a fault to ground?

exactly. Well asked. As a fundamental truth today’s mobile/portable generators are code required to be bonded neutral/ground. That plays hell with homes having GFCI’s in them. For that instance a floating neutral is better.

If only there was some way to disconnect or disable that bond easily. better, some way to easily flip back and forth between the two. Like in a power cord dedicated to backfeeding a house (using at least a manual safety interlock).

say, do you know what a NEMA 10-50r is?
