Not sure. I know the one I ordered for my 21 had a different part number tham the 15-20 models.

I have a retrax on my 2019, I called retrax and they told me that it (RetraxPRO MX) would fit my 2021, I always buy a new one with my new trucks but since they now don't make the glossy black cover anymore, only matt black Im going to reuse my cover for my new truck.
So your 2016 should fit as well or give them a call, they were very helpful on the phone

Yes. I moved my retrax cover from my 2015 platinum to my 2022 tremor. I bought replacement seals on amazon that had adhesive on one side and I put those adhesive down to the plastic bed rail covers.

So we actually took a Retrax off a 2022 F150 and it fit on a 2009 F150. KIND OF. It wasn't exactly for it but the customer made it work (used tonneau cover).
Now I say that because YEAH the covers WILL kind of fit between the years but not PERFECT.
Basically 2015-2020 is one style and 2021+ is another style with 2024+ being maybe a new style, we're not sure yet.
If you have a buddy who's got one for sale, TRY IT, it might work. But if you are looking to have one shipped to you, think twice.

They changed the part number for the 2015-2020 and 2021-Current on the full new, oem retrax covers... but if you go into the parts diagrams, you'll see that the replacement parts are all the same part numbers. the can, rails, coiled cover etc are all the same part number. There could be some nuance to some of the parts that retrax will NOT sell you separately... but even though I highly doubt that as the replacement parts selection will spit out of the same part numbers for the same part for covers that fit 2015-2023
