Resistance when initially pushing the brake pedal

Hey guys, is this a normal thing with these f-150s? The initial press of the brake, I encounter an unusual amount of resistance. The brakes themselves work fine though. I find myself pushing it hard and then kind of lurching because of it.

Truck is basically brand new, haven't had it a week.

Electric power brake booster characteristics, I would guess.
Every single vehicle I’ve ever had behaved differently.
My 22 acts quite a bit different than any of the previous trucks, but not to the point I thought something was wrong. Electric power steering as well..
my 98 Chev has a pretty soft pedal, and then out of nowhere, brakes like it hits a wall. Both hot rods are a bit more linear, but the 66 ElCamino behaves almost like the 98 Chev. The 65 Ranchero has discs but no power, so it is completely linear.

Yeah thats the thing. The entire truck feels so much different than my previous GMs. My last one(2014) had electric steering, but the steering in this truck is completely different. Very firm and controlled. Usually I tend to palm steer at the top of the steering wheel, but I can't even really do it with the same accuracy in this new truck as the steering is so firm.

I'm assuming the brake is just normal and will take getting used to.

I found that depending on the temp. - will affect the initial push on the brakes as well as turning of the steering wheel. More noticeable when coming off the highway at first. My take on it, is just the grease and oils are stiff and thicker. I have not found it to be any type of an issue.

Yeah the thing is I have only driven it in -30 C temps so far too.
Bought it, drove home. Drove 1000 km to work and parked it. The entire time it was -30 or colder. I don't have mud flaps or anything yet so Im avoiding driving it on these oilfield roads till I get it all done up next days off. Even though it is warmer now. Maybe i'll take it for a little spin after my shift today since it's only -1 now and see if it is still stiff.
