I have looked at this truck before. Must have been on F150 forum. Your truck is past the hump where the 2021 trucks are known to get stuck not getting updates. Your recent OTA history shows 2.7.4 and 2.8.1 were sent to your truck and both failed to install for different reasons. 2.7.4 seems to have failed due to user error as someone interrupted the install process while the update was trying to install. 2.8.1 was sent a few days later and failed due to a software mismatch, which makes sense because you would need 2.7.4 to go in first.

It really is a great truck once you get everything up to date, and your problem with the dealers have been experienced by many. Right now, there is a hold on dealer performing BlueCruise programming and has been that way since January.

There is a way you can update it yourself, but you need to invest in the tool and license to do it using Ford's own software.

We bought a 2021 Powerboost specifically for the BlueCruise and it doesn’t work (bought out of state). Has been to dealership twice & countless calls & emails with Ford Customer Service who told us nothing can happen until the new BlueCruise update comes out (zero estimate of when) at which point the techs will have to do it because the truck does not receive OTA updates. Frustrated like many of you. It was an expensive truck, gold certified & the main thing we bought it for does not work and no clue of when it will. Any idea when the BlueCruise update will be complete? The tech at Ford told my husband he could fix it but Ford won’t pay. Ford customer service says it can’t be fixed without update. Dealer service manager sick of us. Does anyone know if there is someone in the Midwest I can pay to fix this? I feel horrible because I found the truck for my husband out of state and this has been nothing but a huge hassle. VIN 1FTFW1ED5MFB76507

Im gonna hopefully get them fixed up. we are only maybe 90 miles from each other. I got another guy updated last week and was able to get his BC working. :)

Right! I’m just glad when I can help others out. Just as I’ve gotten help in the past. Gotta pay it forward. It just kills me that these dealers are so clueless or unwilling to help. I get that there is a cost involved to pay a tech etc. but it’s like that just don’t care. Or don’t want to be bothered. SMH.

it says up to date, and I check for updates and it says up to date. It was just at the dealer and now after getting the truck back from changing out a front parking aid sensor, My bluetooth is all garbled when I put the truck in reverse, its getting sone kind of interference. It has never happened before and I am curios if it was the new OTA update that i think i got, or did they damage something when removing the bumper to change out the sensor? And or is this a normal thing that i just recently noticed.

Thanks and any help is greatly appreciated.

Wondering if I can get a Vin lookup for my 2022 F150

I've had it for just under 2 months, got it from a dealer with 50 miles on it. I have sync 4.0.22082 . I do not have full screen apple car play. The website says I have sync updates, but my truck says none available. I've tried parking break, no lights etc, and even reset the APIM twice through forscan.

I feel like its trying to update or do something because every other time I get in the truck the courtesy /easy entry thing is moved back (it doesn't when I get out), and I get the rear occupant alert which are both set to off.

I have an appointment at my local dealer next Monday so want to know if something seems 'stuck'. I put it in my appointment notes.

Hey guys! Looking to find a little more about mine. Took it into the dealership and it got a few minor updates after it was stuck on (I believe) 2.7. since then, I haven’t received anything since despite doing all the tricks to try to force the update. VIN is 1FTEW1CP6MFB67713
