Is there a separate part for the outside bottom cover of the tow mirrors? Hit something and cracked it... searched but can only find top caps or the whole thing.
Nope. Didn’t want to buy a whole new mirror. Used some Gorilla Patch and Seal (very thick black waterproof tape) just to seal it for water getting in. Doesn’t look THAT bad ?
Was still thinking about making something up with a sheet of plastic that would match better…
A rock was thrown up from a truck ahead of me and put a hole in the front of my tow mirror, just below the cap.
You cannot buy just that part alone, even though you can buy just about everything else for the mirror. I have full power fold and extend and the dealer wanted a fortune just for one mirror, around 1700 Canadian, and 1400 for the XLT mirrors without power fold.
I found a complete set of XLT take off's from a 2023 for 800 bucks and will swap out the front cover when I get access to a warm garage. As you can see, there isn't even a part number listed for the mirror part explosion.
Found a GMC Acadia V6 engine on this site for $918 (87k).
Bought the perfectly good car for $2000 from someone who blew the engine.
I'm into this for dirt cheap. Did it to keep miles on my '22 F150 low.
