Walked out to my truck this morning and from sitting over night it had a golf ball sized oil spot on my driveway. Got under it and it’s leaking from bell housing. Only has 2200 miles on it! Is there a recall or TSB for anything like this? I’ve had 7 new f150’s over the years and never had anything like this happen so new. Kinda dread calling the dealership

You'll have to get that serviced under warranty. What is that opening there in the middle? Hopefully this is the last of any problems for a loooooong time.

Almost looks like the transmission leaking out of the front pump housing. That’s where my old 6R80 leaked from after I replaced the torque converter. That looks a bit dark for ATF with 2200 miles though.

Then again that looks dark for break in oil too. Does it feel like oil or is it thinner?

It looked and felt like oil to me. Didn’t smell like ATF

Seems like a vent hole. Kinda like older trucks have an access panel there on the bell housing. But that is where the oil is coming out of and bunching up to droplets next to it

Hi there, Larry. This rear seal leak concern doesn’t sound like something we want you to experience with your F-150. Could you please send us a PM with your VIN and the name and location of your Ford dealer? I'd be happy to look into how I can assist you on my end.

Curious on how this went for you? I am about to call my dealer for the 3rd rear main oil seal leak in the last 3 oil changes. Not sure if it is a mechanic thing or there is something else wrong that they are hoping will go away long enough to be off warranty.
