Looks like many lowered SuperCrews are running 24s and look great. I have been looking and looking not seeing many with 24s on a lowered RCSB.

  • Is there a reason most are running on 22s and not 24s?
  • What tire size should be used for 24s?
  • Pros and cons?
  • Thoughts and feelings about this?

I would think ride quality is the main reason. You can get one of these trucks to ride decent with some effort. My truck with the Ride Tech kit rides about as well as any sports car I have had, but it's far from perfect. With the 22" wheels I have, I steer around pot holes, bumps etc.
I think the 24" wheel would make the ride too rough to take on these Texas roads.

Just comes down to personal preference. I think they look great on crew cabs but think they look a little out of place on the smaller, shorter wheelbase regular cab that's why I went with 22s.

I run 24s on my Supercrew. Wouldn't go larger than 22s on a RCSB.

22s on a Supercrew when lowered look too small and 24s on a RCSB lowered look too large, IMO.

24s typically get 305/35r24 or 295/35r24. I have run both. The 295s look a touch narrow and don't have much sidewall protection but make the wheel diameter look larger. 305s have a little more meat and sidewall protection but proportion the wheel diameter a little more.

You could always find a set of 23s and split the difference! They do exist.....I have a set myself.

Thanks all for the input!

I think I will do the 22s. I'm leading on doing the Vossen HF6-4 22x10 ET-18 Super deep profile. Would these fit? I know for sure the 22x9.5 ET20 will fit; many are running similar specs.

Thoughts?

Find yourself an offset calculator.
Plug in stock specs and the aftermarket wheel.
They will give you clearances to the suspension.

My problem was that I had to go aftermarket control arms in order to get the camber adjustment I needed. That caused less clearance and the 23x10 +44 wheels I was running up front only have a couple of millimeters clearance and didn't want to chance it.

That deep of a wheel offset you proposed, while I can't exactly do the math off the top of my head, would make me think there's going to be quite a bit of poke past the fender. IMO, that always looks like shit.

My current Vossen 24x10 are +25 and with a 305 series tire, it pokes ever so slightly more than I'd like, but I'm splitting hairs at this point.

I feel, for the 21+ F150s, +30 offset is the sweetspot.
