Hey Guys,
My buddy bought a 2019 F150 Platinum Ecoboost, and it’s been nothing but a problem child.
Randomly, it’ll go into a limp like mode and flash all sorts of lights on the dash. FWD fault, cruise control, etc… As soon as he lets the truck sit to where the interior lights shut off, he can restart it and it’s fine again.
He says it seems like something is not telling the turbo’s to spool/VGT’s to open in time, but Ford can’t prove anything and keeps sending him home cause it’s not doing it when they have it. They try pulling the codes, but that just leads them down a rabbit hole and their engineers are saying they really need it to be acting up while they have it…
He’s 20 so they won’t give him a rental.
Does anyone have any ideas? He’s checked everything he can think of
