I have a screw short box F150 and a 2020 BMW 330i. I measured the Lift point spread on F150 to be 50" and the BMW is 70". They don't have a single lift to cover both of these measurements. 6000ELX minimum and maximum lift point are 53" and 76" respectively. I measured the F150 from the arrow as shown in the picture and I wasn't comfortable going to 53". Will someone let me know if 53" works or I will be in unsafe territory placing the rear lift points 53 inches from the front arrows?

If I recall looking at my truck, your picture is of the rear lift point. Why not split the difference and have the front 1½" ahead of the arrow and the rear the same amount behind? Going a little wider should make for a slightly more stable lift versus being narrower than the lift points.

Personally, if it lifts level and is near the lift points marked on the frame, I wouldn't have an issue. I'd be cautious the first few times you use it and check how stable it is just after the tires get off the ground. If it was opposite and you couldn't spread far enough, then I would be more concerned as things could be more unstable.

+1.

I would just get the 7000TLX so that you have enough capacity and can use it on both the F150 and 330i.

I think you're going to have problems using the 6000ELX on the 330i. My 7000TLX is close enough to the front and rear tiers on a smaller SUV and sedan that I think the 6000ELX is for a specific application.

Worst case, you can use a car jack on the rear of the pickup for an extra measure of security.

I think the standard length QuickJack are just too short in length for larger vehicles.

Max spread of the 7000TLX is 66 inches. How is that going to work with min spread of 70 inches on the BMW? This BMW has specific front and rear lift points and it is 70 inches. Also, why wouldn’t the 6000ELX work? This F150 is 5500lbs.

I guess I will purchase the 6000ELX and see if it works safely with the F150. If not, then I will have to purchase either a 7000TL or 7000TLX

Here's the factory service manual lift points, if it's of any help.

Hi Mark, You may have saved me from purchasing two sets of Quickjack! I will measure between these points and I am quite sure it is more than 53 as what I was measuring was the flat part of the frame rail ahead of the shown rear points. Thank you so much!

Guess BMW has increased the spread. The 7000TLX works for my F30 335i and the F25 X3 35i. I have ISTA at home too and BMWs have become un-DIYable lately. I don't think we'll purchase another BMW for a long time.

Is the 5,500lbs the Ford advertised curb weight of the vehicle when it's unloaded and empty? It's not hard to exceed 6,000bs.

I've lifted mine on a 7000TLX dozens of times with no issue.

My bad! My curb weight is around 6100lbs so the 6000ELX is a no go. I will purchase a 7000TLX and will have an extension fabricated for the BMW.

Another option is to have another frame assembly pair:

https://www.quickjack.com/parts/frame-assembly/

Obviously not ideal, but the safest way if you have the storage space available.
This is a great idea except, I really don't want to have two sets. Don't have the space and budget. What about if I remove 100Lbs of weight from cargo stuff to get it to 6000lbs and go with the 6000ELX?

Completely understand - I wish Quickjack would just make a 7000ELX model.

So the 6000lbs "limit" is not binary. The frame won't just magically fatigue and fail when you lift 6,001 lbs.

What is different between the models? Frame size or hydraulic pump? My curb weight with 1/4 tank of gas and all the added accessories in 6,057lbs. 7000TLX max lift point spread is 66. The BMW min is 67.75 and max is 72.75. Center to center is roughly 70 inches. I can literally place a 4x4 lumber on the flat sandwiched between the jack and lift points and lift the car! I will just purchase the 7000TLX and have an 1.5 inch 14 gauge powder coated extension fabricated to catch the BMW. I will place the winter wheel/tire set under the wheels for the times I will be working under the car.

I think it’s the frame that’s different. The hydraulic pump unit should be the same.
