I have a used 2021 F150 Platinum that I purchased in February. I have seen all the posts about adding wheel well liners to the rear which I plan to do but I noticed that the front of the truck looks like it’s either missing liners or they’ve been modified so curious what others look like. I have to take it the dealership for some work and plan to ask them as well but appreciate any feedback from this group as I’ve learned so much already. I’m posting a few pics of both the left and right side so you can see what I’m taking about. Thanks in advance.

If you look they've been folded up. One of mine came like that too. Reach in there and pull them down.

Oh shit, they cut your crash bar -- someone has mutilated that truck

What size tires are on there? I’m wondering if the previous owner had some larger tires and needed the clearance to keep them from rubbing

It should be an easy and SMART thing to fix. The missing piece slides in the existing bar that is there and bolts on.

@LJS1211 I would definitely contact the dealer/individual you got the truck from and ask where the ends from the crash bar are 'cause you need them.

Thanks for everyone’s help with this. Didn’t know anything about crash bars but after all your responses I know more now for sure which is great. And also upsetting that they were removed but I get it. Will see about putting them back on since I’m just running the standard size and don’t plan to go bigger. Again appreciate everyone’s help.

I do not understand why you think his crash bars were cut out. All of @LJS1211 pictures are behind the front bumper facing the front of the truck. In each photo you see the active air dam motors and bumper. The crash bars are mounted behind the front tire between the front tire and passenger compartment footwell. As in the @SCTYDOG photo.

Yeah, I realized it after the fact, just didn't edit the post. Either way they're gone. They exist for SORB crashes. Personally I'd keep my SORB rating vs different wheels / tires. Some of the shit people do...

I never realized different trims got different front liners! On my STX the front liners are plastic. It seems like on higher trims they use carpeted liners to dampen noise!

Honestly I think it's just as cheap. I certainly wouldn't consider these fiber things 'special'. My XLT has the fiberous liners -- not impressed. They hold more road shit and stay wet.

This is probably why the front crash bars were removed?

They weren't cut out, but the front ones were removed. This pic is behind the front bumper in front of the tire, not behind

If you look closely at that picture, it is behind the front tire, notice the sway bar mount and sway bar it is located behind the axle. The sway bar is behind the axle not in front of it. ?

This is mounted to the front bumper, not behind the tire. Also the front mount of the lower control arm is in the pic, but I'm not seeing a swaybar. ?
