Lane Keeping vs Lane Centering. Could somebody please explain what the difference is. I figured out the lane centering is in the adaptive cruise menu. The lane keep is on the steering wheel. Does anybody know how I can disable lane keep without hitting the button every time I set cruise control?

Lane Keeping warns you when drifting out of your lane. It can shake the steering wheel and add resistance when you are close to the lines. You can't shut that off..hard coded as far as I know.

Lane keeping and lane centering are turned on/off by the same button on the steering wheel. If you are using adaptive cruise then it will be in lane centering mode. If ACC is off or you have centering disabled than it's lane keeping only and will ping pong you back and forth in the lane. I have lane keeping off and only activate lane centering when using cruise control.

Not sure if it's a Canada difference but I can definitely turn lane keeping completely off on my US-spec truck by just pushing the button on the wheel.

You are correct. You can turn it off. You can not stop it from turning on everytime when you turn your crush on.

Maybe Ford changed it in the newer trucks but in my '24 my lane keeping stays off permanently until I manually turn it on. It's about the only thing that doesn't come back on automatically each time you start the truck, lol.

Same with my 21 model. The lane keeping is off unless I press the button on the wheel. If I turn it on it will be on when I restart but if I have it off it won’t come on my itself.
