Pro's and Con's of different Drop Kit's ?

I'm getting a 2024 XL regular cab short bed 2×2 and trying to decide how much I want to drop it.. I'm not going to race or tow but do want the truck to be easier to get in handle better for daily driving and look great. Most of the dealerships 'sport' truck builds use a 3-5 drop and many custom builds lower than that.
What's important to me is avoiding a harsh ride and noise issues and getting better handling.
What are the pros and cons of different drops? Has anyone here actually used the Ford Performance 2"-4" drop? Thanks for your time and trouble!

Ridetech makes a killer kit, if I were to lower, Id use that. Haven't heard much on the Ford one though.

I have a 3/5 drop that's a Frankenstein build, so not exactly same as the 3/5 kits out there.

If I were to do it again, I'd go Ridetech for the entire kit.

That said, 3/5 is a good stance for form and function.

Will the ride be as good as stock? No. Will it be tolerable? Depends on your expectations. I've lowered trucks for years including the cheapest ways possible.

I have a rear flip kit on my 22 supercrew with the fox drop shocks and the front Belltech coilovers. Drives nice but it's refreshing at times to drive my other vehicle.

The Ford 2"-4" 'Performance Drop' at least on paper seems like a great compromise on cost, ride quality and ease of installation. And the fact it's basically a factory option has a certain appeal too. But I can't find a single before and after picture or video OR review! It seems like most folks who want to drop low then are not quite happy with the ride or have to add airbags to keep towing and load capacity. Or even worse trying different combinations of parts or kits. I know Ford spent tons of money to get decent ride quality on the flagship F-150 and I hope a little was spent on this kit.

I've seen it list as a "2-4 Performance Drop" but actual drop is 1.3 and 2.5...

Yes the ford performance drop is not a 2/4. It’s a 1.3” x 2.5”. Definitely doesn’t measure up considering the stock rake. Ridetech though costly is the best drop alternative.

Finished the install on my Ridetech 3/5 kit along with their load leveling bags, traction bars, and rear sway bar. Previously had an IHC 4/6 kit.

Biggest issue I had with the IHC kit was that the axle would hit the frame, even with the bump stops removed. Also, the kit rode fairly rough too, I believe a lot of people attribute that to their rear shocks not being very good. I would assume the only way to get the IHC 4/6 kit to not hit the frame with the axle would be to do a step notch on it, but it's pretty surprising that it would still hit the frame even without any bump stops.

Although I liked the stance more with the IHC 4/6 kit, the ride quality really wasn't worth it. The Ridetech setup rides amazing, and the components are MUCH better quality. The IHC kit is good for what it costs, but I definitely would recommend spending the money for the Ridetech setup. While I was doing this install I also power washed and Fluid Film'd the underside of the truck too to protect it from winter here.

I'm trying to find out which kit I want.
Looking to lower at least 2/4 and maintain good ride quality.
I believe the rear of my truck has the Ford drop shackles and it's definitely not low enough for me.

3"-5" drop definitely gives a better look.. I'm going with the 2"-4" just to be sure I keep great ride quality. But I'm a do once and done kinda guy.
