Hi All!
I found this privacy settings screen (see below) under "connected vehicle features", see below.

It looks like Ford has everything enabled by default, and when I start disabling these 4 items, I am getting warnings that some features will not work.

I am wondering what the consensus is here in the forum on which of these 4 items can safely be disabled without crippling any other desirable features?
What do you have yours set to?

Thanks a lot in advance for any input on this!

Don't recall off-hand, but I know some of those are what makes most of the Ford Pass app do it's thing, like remote lock/unlock, remote start, etc.

It is purposely made that way to force you to give up your privacy in return for some gimmick features. I personally turned everything off and remove the fuse for the cellular modem. Ford and third parties have no business selling any information my vehicle produces. As far as updates, NOT ONE "update" made a difference in drivability or infotainment connectivity. The biggest changes were the ones I personally made with ForScan. Now that tunning is available, I will upload a new powertrain tune that will definitely wake up the 5.0 and 10R80.

Curious what Forscan changes you did? I am on the fence about doing the same and pulling all connectivity on mine. I know some of the changes for the 24+ have a changed as far as Forscan goes, what would you say are your must-haves?

Thank you. My 2021 updated to Jan2022 and stopped. I've always wondered if pushing the missing updates via FDRS was worth it? Was I missing out on some great development? So it seems not. I love the truck, drives great, scares the birds.

I disabled the two last items: analytics and driving data.
Have not noticed any unwanted/unexpected impact or side effect (yet).

The options I changed via ForScan are the following:

Disable driver & passenger seat belt minder

Disable door ajar chime

Prevent headlamp switch from defaulting to auto position

Disable key in ignition chime

Enable unreal sync theme. (Screen layout looks premium)

Enable lightning f150 splash screen
