Check thread above. Sounds like a known issue with TSB. Gear Shift Modules (GSM) have been failing causing the alert, and replacements are backordered with no promised delivery date. Surprised the dealer didn't mention it.

Had this identical issue with my 24 XLT PB at 5000 miles (3 months ago). Yup, the Gear Shift Module (GSM) is the culprit and a known issue. Should have been an easy fix, but the part wasn’t available….drove a courtesy vehicle for 6 weeks while they waited on the part. Super frustrating, but at least all the miles I drove went on the courtesy vehicle!
Have had a couple other minor frustrations that I wouldn’t expect to have on a brand new truck…but hoping I’m thru the woods. I love the truck, but miss the simplicity of my older vehicles. So many issues seem to be caused by software updates, reprogramming truck, etc etc!

Finally got a call they are ordering a GSM . They ordered on Monday possibly on Friday, said they should get it today 8-12 . Not holding my breath. I think the dealership was trying to pencil whip it . I brought up I did research and fellow F150 owners have had problems with this GSM .

Glad to hear you're getting good service. Hopefully, your part comes in soon and you're back on the road soon. It may be a stretch, but I'm getting a sense dealerships may be improving their service. Fingers crossed

After reading all the reviews, on this problem with the GST , and the part not available. I was told by the dealer the part would be here in a day , everyone has said it has taken a lot longer . The dealer all sugar coats it . Just tell the truth. Once the problem is fixed hopefully it doesn’t have any other problems. At least for a while. While this problem was going on , I asked what my trade in value would be on my 2024 F150 PB 6700 miles and they said 43000 , they have one on the lot same year 2024 same miles for 55962 . Tells you how much they mark up cars . Not happy with the dealer . Not expecting the Truck back for another week at the earliest, hopefully I am wrong.
