Hi, We were driving yesterday through Wyoming in our 2021 F150 Lariat Ecoboost with 9,000 miles on it when we heard/felt what sounded like we hit something, but hit nothing and then the vehicle went immediately into limp mode after being at 80 MPH on the highway. We were lucky there was an off ramp to a random road (no service) and had to be towed 50 miles north. The truck will not turn on the gas engine, nor will it even go into drive. Most functions have been disabled and we are now waiting on the dealer to try to figure out the issue. Seems like a major safety problem for a brand new vehicle driving on a clear road to just shut down like that. Then you're completely stuck needing to get it to a dealer. oh we have our 10 month baby with us too...eyeroll.
I have no clue yet how long the repairs will take and also have major concerns it won't just do this again. has anyone else run into this issue? I'm not sure if it needs a complete new battery for the hybrid, but this feels concerning for the overall health of the vehicle.
