Hi folks, working on diagnosing an issue and wonder if anyone else has experienced anything similar. I have a 2021 plat PB with B&O unleashed. Roughly 66% of the time, when I turn the car on I hear from the drive headrest speaker a little feedback and occasional cracking/popping noises. At first, figured maybe this was a wiring issue, but also had some issues with spotify stopping running out of carplay. That made me think maybe this is a bluetooth issue? But then, on a two hour drive yesterday and again today, had the same issue with the audio stopping, and it happened even when playing the radio. On carplay, spotify will just stop playing, but when I am on the radio and the audio tab on sync 4(and with the phone completely disconnected) the radio will stop playing, and I'll get a notification that the audio is turned off. For 3-4 seconds the display is nonresponsive, and then it'll kick back on. All the while, I hear the white noise feedback and cracking coming from the driverside headrest speaker.

Anyone had a similar issue to this? Car is still under warranty, but before taking it in to a dealership service department where they'll stare blankly at me, would love to learn what's actually going on.

I have not experienced this in the 7-8 months of ownership. In fact I had to turn my head and put my ear against the headrest to confirm that they were in fact participating in the soundstage. :)

They are, but it's subtle in most of the things that I listen to.
I suppose if they were introducing sounds that were in conflict with the music, (static) they would be more noticeable.

Heh, when I'm not having an issue, yeah can't notice the headrest speaker at all. Buttt, when it's going rice krispee on me - snap, crackle, pop - definitely notice that. It's not the same ear deafening noise some people seem to experience, maybe the same decibel level as clicking your tongue lightly, but it's right next to my ear, and the bigger problem is that the audio turns off on the whole car for 3-4 seconds while it is cracking.

I don't envy you facing the efforts to get a dealership to troubleshoot and repair the issue. I honestly don't believe the likelihood of there being a technician with intimate knowledge of the Unleashed system as good.
If it's the ONLY speaker of the 19 that is crispy, then at least you/they could look for issues with just the wiring to it?

Good afternoon! I would like to take a closer look at your F-150's audio issues. To get started, can you please send over a private message with your VIN and the name/location of your local Ford dealer?

Well. Looks like we've got bigger problems to fix than a new headunit. Literally driving to the Ohio BMV to pick up the plates on my new truck and I get t-boned by an older gal who ran a stop sign. It was a fun two weeks. Thanks for the offer to help Ford, but I think this one is a bit beyond your reach.
