I know this has to look bad... and it won't hold up for long...

But just wondering, any pics from anyone who has plastidipped their chrome front bumper in either matte or gloss black?

Trying to talk myself out of a quick chrome cover up :D

*Edit - a really bad quick photoshop mockup tells me this looks terrible already...:

Was planning on replacing the grill and wheels. But still.

BumperShellz. Yeah but not made for the 2021 yet. Plastidip would be temporary until something better.

I have seen a few on these pages who have had their bumpers wrapped. I don't think its too expensive and it will hold up much better than plastic dip.

I asked a local vinyll guy about that, was told it would be trashed in a year. Saving up for salvage bumpers and powder coat.

Not sure I buy this. Whats the difference with bumper and front of vehicle? Plus I have seen total cars done, including grill and bumper. They were not "trashed in a year".

Sounds like that guy didnt want a job that small, especially PITA like a bumper.

I'm in total agreement. My son in law and I had this same discussion while bolting on my Roush exhaust. In the end I just choose to do powder coat. Frankly nothing's as durable as that ugly arse chrome.

Yeah, i was kinda forced into chrome bumpers on my order.

I will wrap or paint them eventually.

Chrome and carpet have no place on a truck.

Going to get mine wrapped. I too have Carbonized Gray and 3m makes a wrap that looks damn near perfect. I was quoted $550 for both bumpers....
