Had the engine cover off my Powerboost this weekend to take a look around. Noticed on the passenger side that what is (I think) the PCV Valve is all oily. Nothing pooling but clearly somehow coated in oily residue.
On the driver's side is what is (I think) the Crankcase Valve. Where the valve joins the inlet or intake tube (not the end attached to the top of the engine), I had a little pool of oil. Wiped it up before taking the photo. I will say it is POSSIBLE that I may have just dripped a little oil while pulling out the dipstick, but I believe these PCV and crankcase systems move oily air around so I'm wondering if oil could be leaking out here?
I have to take the truck in anyway so I will mention but would like to know if this is normal or needs to be repaired.
