Sorry guys for this probably repetitive post, but trying to find specific information on my conversion. I have a 22 xl stx with 8” and nav. Does anyone have a parts list of all parts needed and harnesses. I am not sure what I’m going to run into with programming as I have built in nav now. I see new screens with all trim on eBay for around 800-900, but I see conversion kits for around 2300. I’m sure I need more parts and harnesses than just the screen and bezels. What’s the best recommendation to save a buck but do it right.

Retired and not looking. I am driving the wife crazy.
It will definitely be more entertaining to try to figure all this out for yourself, but I can assure you the guys who assemble these packages for a living are well worth the extra expense.

I can do a lot of modifying, but I do not even begin to try and figure this stuff out. I can't even get harnesses on the wife. I swapped my 4" 2014 screen to an 8" 2015 screen. It was still some work, but at least no electrical. Worked like a champ.

If you install an apim with the wrong software in these trucks its game over. Meaning youll never get another update period. I go through crazy efforts to make sure the APIM ships with the correct software so that there isnt future issues. With so many possible versions of software all it takes is the Owner manual file being wrong and it will wreck updates. While it may save some money initially it will absolutely wreck the future of the truck to install the wrong apim or software.

The older sync 3 systems it didnt matter. These do.

Id follow what Jesse is saying, but the kit from Infotainment, and get what you need, right the first time.
