PAINT CHIPS.

Any one have issues with odd rock chips!? 2022 f150, in 1 year I have 8 or 9 rock chips all on the driver side, some larger then others, all show best metal underneath, no primer. Not in high impact areas. In contact with the dealer but have my doubts they’ll help me. Attached one pic for example. One over the driver tires one in middle of both drive side doors. One just under the window on back ds door. One on the window frame . Think it’s a paint issue, no primer? Aluminum body/paint maybe? Had a new 14 for 125000km never seen anything like thi.

Haha that would do it! Not my case, it just seems every little pebble that hits themside
Of the truck takes a chip.. I’ve had a 14 f150
And 18 explorer from new, never had this problem, 2015 infinity with 100,000km in the garage with out a chip like this lol somethings wrong or this is the quality $$80,000’buys you today.

I think the paint is garbage. FWIW, my 2013 had the same amount of chips as I do no. Same commute, same trips...

I wish I could get a bug and rock guard for the hood. I have a BAP with the Tremor style hood and nobody is making one for that style yet.

Sadly, if you do any driving on the highway, you will get chips on the metal parts.

I use my truck as a truck, chips happen, not an issue for me. One reason I always buy Oxford White trucks - IMO it's the best at taking / hiding touch-up paint if something bugs me. Chip risk is one reason I like chrome bumpers, too.

Very few noticeable chips on my 2022 with no touch-up so far, but it'll come someday I know; my 2005 has many dots of the touch-up paint, ya gotta look very close to see 'em, never intended as a concours show vehicle, no worries!

I have the same issue, city driving and a bit of highway but not anywhere with construction or loose dirt. Still happening ever since bought.

I have an all black tremor in socal. Our roads are pure shit. My front end is pretty blasted. My 04 f150s paint held up like a tank for almost 15 years but this aluminum body isn’t the same

First picture is too far away to see but the second picture is not down to bare metal. It is down to the e-coat which is going to be a muted grey/olive-ish green color. The aluminum will not present itself as dark grey like that...
