2019 Ford F150 KR 5.0
I bought a 2019 Ford F150 King Ranch 5.0 in June of 2024 with 40k miles on it. Now it has 49k miles on it. I opened up a case with Ford corporate to see if and what they would be willing to cover. Had already scanned it with Forscan, but they wanted a dealer to scan and report back what is needed, so the dealer did that today and said that they want $1,200 from me to pull out the transmission and pull it apart to find the issue. From there the dealer will work up a work order AND then Ford corporate will determine if they want to cover it all, some or none at all. I think it's a trap and to be honest they need to cover the whole repair if they want a repeat customer and to show "good will". I'm so pissed, BS.

Well it's out of warranty so they really aren't obligated to do anything for you. They are at least telling you there is a possibility ford will help. If you want warranty buy a 2025. Otherwise it's a used truck. Fix it or sell it. And if they help you out your golden.

IMO what's BS is folks wanting manufacturers to provide endless warranty coverage out of the goodness of their hearts.
