F150Rob - He didn’t mean Xplan. His x signified a variable.
Jpmtz - of course. That's just MSRP online. Build your truck online, print out (paper/pdf) summary at end and walk into dealer and tell them what you’re willing to pay. Remote dealer, do same, send them your PDF. THEN Negotiate.
When I did mine, I walked into dealer and said here, this is what I want, and I’ll pay $1000 below actual invoice plus of course whatever incentives are available at delivery. They took my offer. I made us both sign my printout as proof.
Look around forum, lots of info. Read about how mustang club membership qualifies you for X-PLAN pricing and how Costco’s auto website will show you actual invoice pricing (what dealer pays)
Anyone that just accepts an online price is a huge idiot.
I took the Granger offer to one of my local dealers back in November and they agreed to match it. Thank you Granger Ford! Watch out for dealer "add-ons" also.
X is the manufacture’s suggested retail price (MSRP), with dealers thats always negotiable and the going rate for us on this forum has been a final price a few thousand dollars under MSRP.
