Friday in my wifes 2012 sync 3 edge playing the the same music LOAD that is on my trucks USB that i have loaded over 32g of music. it started sounding TINny and weird treble fluctuations to the point it sounded like a like all the treble and bass left the room and left us with just mid range rings combined with a microphone feedback screechy noise, not loud.....but very irritating
if i switched over to pandora, it went away, but came back when i selected fm HDradio.
this morning i put same usb in truck and it did the same thing, audio settings were all over the place treble , midrange etc. like a microphone feedback screechy pitch
so i came in and reloaded said usb with same music from same computer and made sure open with was microsoft media ,
now it still has the same weirdness in both vehicles but very very less pronounced.
i got back in truck and played on pandora return of the mack because it has lots of mid range and deep bass rhythms, separated by tracks of treble and his voice has many different sounds based on volume. its a pretty good test of the individual speakers , plus soft singing in background. i am sure there is a better song to use to isolate different aspects of sound, but i was in a rush.
in both vehicles i isolated each speaker and ran through the song and both sounded and came out perfect after a bit of tweaking to pick up rear speakers a tad more
but the usb playback is still weird, like its missing something.
only test left is to load the actual cd in the edge and see if it goes away.
but why would both usbs all the sudden start doing this?
(i took the trucks usb and played it in the edge , it had similiar sound effects but less pronounced.)
