Is it true that auto connecting the OBDlink Mx+ can't auto connect when you get into your car, if your phone is IOS? I can't find a way to do it.

First, I close the iPhone app between drives because I only use it occasionally, not every time I'm in the truck (so I'm not sure if the behavior is different if the iPhone app is always left open).

I find that the BT connection to the iPhone re-establishes automatically when I start the truck, so I don't need to go into iPhone settings for that each time.

But, I do need to open the app and choose "connect" in the app each time I want to use it. Again, I'm not sure what would happen if I'd left the app open on my iPhone.

Same behavior with my iPad.

I'll play around today. I've never had it connect without my interaction
