OBD Link+ Autoconnect with IOS (Been talking to support)

I love the device so it isn't a dealbreaker, but I am trying to get OBDlink for IOS (only) to auto-connect to my device when I start the program. From an earlier post here, I got the impression it was an IOS issue and could not. Support says they don't know of any issues. Has anyone with an Iphone been able to auto-connect with their OBD Link device? Just curious.

It it is a feature, it has never worked for me. Did support suggest it should work? Lately been having a bunch of BlueTooth random disconnects. May have been one of the latest IOS updates causing the problems. Big problems lately with CarPlay.

Yes, there is a setting under preferences/communications to auto-connect.

I have had the device (OBDLink MX+) ever since buying my truck (July '22), with the aforementioned settings configured for autoconnect, and it has NEVER worked with my current or previous iPhones that were always on the most recent IOS versions...
