Hey all, got question for you gurus. While using Android auto on my '22 I enabled getting text message notifications . However, the notification volume is obnoxiously loud. I tried turning down the alert sound on my phone but didn't change anything. Is there anyway to lower the alert sound coming from the truck ?

Thanks

There are a few. Next time you hear it, quickly switch over to the truck's nav or audio (getting Android Auto off the screen) and see if it shows you that there was an incoming email. That was what was blasting me. I finally saw an option (one time) on the top bar next to the weird "A" that took me to settings for that. Not only was I able to change the volume, I was able to select different tones. I found a tone that wasn't nearly as obnoxious as the default and turned the volume down a bit. Perhaps someone can tell us how to get to that settings screen anytime? I haven't seen it again since! But I don't drive the truck a lot either, so there's that.

I hate when I'm listening to the radio and get an AA text message and cuts out the music. It's very annoying when I get multiple texts!

For anyone curious about this here's the solution..

Hold down “VOL—“ on your steering wheel. Keep holding down. Have someone send a text. As soon as the text alert sounds the volume should adjust down. It took sending numerous texts for my husband to get volume right. Note adjusting the volume of the alert also adjusts the volume of the text message when its read aloud (or “hear message” is selected).
