I’ve had the same concern recently and after doing some test drives to reproduce. I’ve concluded it’s the transmission shifts, I have a 2.7 but theory is the same. I’m a red seal mechanic for many years with many brand experiences. In my professional opinion, it’s the transmission qwerks. A 10 speed has to shift into multiple ranges too quickly during immediate response demands. PCM to TCM logic cannot respond to such sudden changes especially what everyone here is experiencing. Best ideal testing I’ve done is accelerate in advance to allow transmission to downshift to a lower range for ECM to apply power before imputing such abrupt steering input. If wheel is turned more than a quarter in any direction with sudden gas application there is a delay. Shifts are delayed due to nature of design IMO. Tbh I think one must drive the vehicle in a more mature manner and how would I put it, plan in advance gas applications. I’ve tested this theory in 2023 Raptors and 5.0. I think a lot of us are expecting a lot out of the 10 speed transmission. If anyone has driven 8speeds, the difference is night and day in terms of response time. But hey, this is just all my opinion after doing multiple test drives. Also people have to remember our vehicles are equipped with multiple sensors for crash prevention reasons as well. Computer logic sometimes are quick enough for to be frank advance enough to distinguish some real work stuff. Software is the biggest hindering factor for any modern vehicle with any kind of advance applications.
