Good afternoon,

I went on a short work trip and when I returned and entered my 2021 Limited there is a new door chime. It happens every time I open the door with all power off. When I filled it with gas it changed tones but is still present? Anyone else dealing with this new development?

If it sound simular, it is the difference between Sync playing the chimes or the base system doing it before sync boots up completely. At least I believe I read that on here before.

I drive mine in my days off (because I have a company vehicle) and on my first day off after my 5 day work week, it plays the chime from somewhere in the instrument cluster and not the speakers.

I believe it’s something to do with low power mode because after driving around a little bit, it starts playing through the speakers again.

This just started happening on my 2021 F150 hybrid and it is driving me crazy. The seatbelt unbuckling solution hasn’t worked either. It is really starting to piss me off. Very annoying.

So, what I subsequently realized was that my headlight switch had been left in the on position and that will cause the door chime to go crazy when you open the door because it is reminding you that you left your lights on :rolleyes:

That would make sense but my lights were not on. Also, yesterday when I first got in my truck it chimed, later it didn't. ??

This is exactly what mines been doing since around Dec 21. I bought the truck last July and have 21k miles and each day I never know what door chime I'm going to get. Sometimes its the nice smooth sounding one from the speakers, sometimes it's the loud binging from the cluster. Dealership told me it's normal, and they are way way wrong in my opinion. My truck is also one of those effected by the update stuck and that's when it started I'm pretty sure. It's been like that for a long time I know that.

I too have noticed the different tones. It’ll do it for a day or so, and then go back to the normal tone.

my 19 every so often, the chime will change from 'everywhere' to from the cluster, and the fake engine noise shuts off too... I recently noticed when it does this, if changed to sport mode(fake engine noise is louder in sport) the sound returns to normal. no idea why it does it- it kinda pisses me off because i actually love the way it sounds vs the v6 noise, and took me 3 years to figure out switching modes could reset it... no rhyme or reason why it does it- warm/cold turned off for several days or 30 seconds...it just does it when it wants... doubt the 19-22 B-O radio has changed all that much- but have noticed the fake engine sound in the 22 is pretty much muted unless really stepping on it...that was a bummer too- wish ford allowed turning off/on/adjusting level...for fun maybe add different sound profiles... 2 cycle would be good for a laugh :)
imagine blipping the throttle to riiinnnggg-da-ding-ding-ding LOL :)
