Just bought a 21 f-150 3.5L twin turbo v6 truck. I sold cars for a long time so when I test drove I saw these issues there, but thought they were from general settings… when I talked to the dealer, they have said they don’t have the money to dive into the issues but they are willing to get me out of the truck but I do like the truck…. Soooo… Are they fixable? Are they all adjustable on Forscan? Do I return the truck to dealer and get something else because this is a larger issue? Any advice would be helpful!

The truck keeps testing at 12.4volts. Which according to charts is 70%. Been told by Ford dealership that is plenty to not cause any issues.

1. Blinkers (or hazards) don’t make noise but do work on dash and on the outside of the vehicle
2. There is no sounds from the proximity sensors
3. The auto stop start said it won’t turn on because “steering wheel is maneuvering” (even though the wheel is straight)
4. The back up camera button won’t work but the button does work, if you push it while driving it won’t turn on for driving but knows it was pushed
5. If I drive the truck in the morning after night, it will start by push button, no issues. BUT, if I drive the truck, stop and try to start back up within 10 mins I have to push the button with the key fob (with a new battery) to start up again.

How long did the truck sit on the lot? Sounds like the battery is not strong enough for all the needs. Search here for vin look up and send him your vin. You will get all the answers

It say on the lot 1.5 months. They keep testing the battery and they said it’s good but maybe that is a surface charge?

There’s several threads on here about the battery. My 22 kept going into deep sleep and lots of strange issues. I changed mine to a H7 interstate brand. No problems sense . My stock battery was a H6.

Same here. My 22 KR constantly went into sleep mode. Changed my battery with Napa 850 C.C.A. No more problems. Was still under warranty but didn’t feel like dealing with getting same battery as a replacement. Ate the cost for some sanity.

This is interesting. I had the same deep sleep battery issues and my dealer upgraded the battery from H6 to H7 under warranty. Still the same OEM brand; just interesting how it seems like what my dealer did was more of an exception to the rule?

Didn’t have the time or patience to keep jumping through hoops. Needed the truck. Load tested fine but still had issues with PSM. Had to keep putting it on a trickle charger due to not driving the truck long enough each day.

There is a Forscan setting for this. It’s on the main sheet as a way to disable ASS.

That said I would probably just swap the battery for an H8 battery and eliminate that as a potential issue.

On my F150, I found that the stop start steering wheel was related to low voltage of battery. If I don't drive it a week or two, I put a charger on it. Sounds almost like it has a charging issue. Alternator might need to be checked. My camera button quit working about 2 months ago. Might check for someone wiring extras in and leaving bare wires.

As one other stated, buy a new battery for the sanity. A AGM battery should be holding higher than 12.4v
