- 2024 Ford F-150 Tremor
UPDATE: February 25th, 2025.
From my last update, Ford dealership replaced the battery and asked me to keep an eye on it over the weekend to see if the battery drains again.
Sure enough, on Saturday morning, the battery was completely drained.
Brought the truck back to the Ford dealership first thing Monday morning for them to find the cause.
Today, they contacted me and told me that the technician thought he may have found the issue. They told me that the TAG TRACING & ETCHING SYSTEM that was installed after I purchased the truck may be causing the issue. I told them, "That's impossible".
The TAG TRACING & ETCHING SYSTEM are stand alone TAGs that have their own battery power. They're not activated, nor are they connected in any way to the trucks electronics. I verified it with TAG customer support.
Then the Ford dealership identified that if they disconnected the RF Receiver Module in the truck that the battery didn't drain at all. At this time, they're installing a new RF Receiver Module and see if that solves the battery drain issue.
I should hear back from them tomorrow and see if that was the cause.
Cheers.
