I'm gonna get right to the point:
Does anyone know of a way to be able to code the ability to switch between Memory Seat position 1/2/3 configurations while driving, in Forescan? (I'll be parked while doing to coding, lol).

I just recently purchased a 2023 f150 Platinum with blue-cruise. I'm new to the driver assists and so far I'm loving it. I do a lot of highway driving and blue-cruise has made my daily commute so much more relaxing and enjoyable... Then when I want to jump on the throttle the 3.5 ecoboost is more than adequate to pass most in good fashion.

But I have an issue... While driving you cannot switch between memory seat positions. This doesn't make much sense to me. Having the ability to push one button while driving and have the seat and mirrors move to a predetermined position is less of a safety issue as reaching down, manipulating the seats to where you want and then having to readjust the mirrors, all which still can be moved while the vehicle is under power. I'd really like to start driving in my normal agressive seating position and then once I reach the highway and bluecriuse is enabled I'd like to siwtch to a more relaxed position and have all my settings saved.

Thanks for the help!

Just a note that the memory seat button also controls the steering wheel and adjustable pedal positions (for vehicles equipped). So not only does it change your body position, it changes your connection to the main ways you control the car.

I don’t believe the seat programming is setup to differentiate between bluecruise operations and regular driving, nor do I believe forscan is able to activate the button while driving.

I initially had the same thought as you, but I have adjustable wheel and pedals, and if I was to accidentally activate my wife's seat position (she's 4'10") while I was driving (I'm 6'2") it would actually be a very dangerous thing because it would be very hard for me to move between gas and brake crunched up like that. I decided the lawyers won and the minute risk of litigation was going to keep it from ever happening.

short answer is NO
as long as truck in not in park..its set up to stay in what ever position you choose at the start.

i have to ask...why not just reach down and move seat ? switching to other settings is NOT FAST

many of us have #3 for backing up trailer( drops mirrors down more) and #2 as the lounge mode for long drives and #1 for day to day normal

bu ti adjust my seat and stuff often on long drives to keep from getting stiff

Thanks for the replies. But I’m still gonna walk with not agreeing with this.
Having the ability to push 1 button to readjust your driving position including pedal, steering wheel and mirror position is less intrusive as reaching down and manipulating each system separately. All of which can be adjusted while driving (pedal position I’ll need to confirm, but pretty sure you can).
I do agree with the assumption that lawyers were involved.

I guess I’ll just have to continue to be a Neanderthal while drive the Platty.

Thangs for the replies

Reading this, the image popped into my head of getting on the highway, turning on BlueCruise, and selecting position #2 to recline the seat and take a nap. If only BC was that good. :)
