I don't know about all models but my Max Tow has a select-able locker. Did yours not come with one or do you want to get rid of it? To me, and my way of thinking, this would be a step backward.
Might be easier to contact Eaton marketing directly.

I wonder how different the current diff is from older 35 spline 9.75, or if the HD axles are even still 35 spline like the older semi-float 9.75HD.

A torque-biasing helical diff would be much more usable on the street, and even in packed dirt.

I hold out hope Auburn gear might make a Select-A-Loc diff for the 9.75 rear end. Clutch limited-slip with electric locker included would be grand.

I actually bought the True Trac hoping it would go into mine but the Max.Tow has an extra spline and it won't fit. If they had one available I'd get one right away.

I do have the electrically locking rear diff but it unlocks over 25mph and 50% throttle. My numbers may.be a bit off but close.

My Mustang has the Torsen which handles great and always transfer power to.the wheel.with the most traction unless one is totally off the ground. Then dragging the brakes lightly makes it do its thing.

I don't mind to much that it disconnects over 25ish but doing it at over 1/2 throttle is useless IMO....for most users maybe that's a good thing but for those who know this is likely going to piss people off.
If the engineers were that worried make it an option so those who know what they are doing can order it and use it as needed....sometimes the nanny function of items are just a PITA when you REALLY need them.

I didn't realize the Max Tow has an "extra spline".

Are 35 spline rear axles not limited to just Raptors?

Yes
Sooooooo, how do we get a 34 spline axle? I'm not concerned about losing max tow maximum numbers.

It might even be a net-positive if we can get rid of the infamous axle bolt that keeps shearing off!

I didn't count the splines but the shaft itself was ever so slightly larger. I've had my bolts out and torqued them back into place and have had no issues with mine so far. Knock on wood!!!

I have tried to contact Eaton with their online question system but never got a reply from it.

Get some custom made. Right now the 9.75HD seems to be completely unique, especially given the outer bearing arrangement.

Suppose you could get a complete HD axle from the Gen13. Those just used thicker axle shafts with the regular semi-floating arrangement and bearings. I would think that in design it is less strong, but in practice probably just as well.

Hi all

I was also ready to pull trigger on True trac LSD. I also need new rear axles. I have max tow package on 2018 3.5 eco. I do not think I have the HDPP. I am curious if your max tow has the HDPP? I am pretty certain that the HDPP has the 35 spline. But not so sure that the maxtow Without HDPP has 35 spline. Would like to know before I pull all this apart. Here is sticker and door tag if helpful.
Can I just buy 34 spline axles regardless of what is in there? Then buy the 34 spline True

Hi

I am in the same boat right now. From what I can find the 35 splineis on the max row with the HDDP package. But not necessary on the max toe with out. Can you please verify which version you have?

thanks

The one I purchased and tried to install was the Eaton 913A477 Tru Trac. I do still have it if anyone wants a screaming deal on a brand new diff!!

Can you please tell me what year your f150 was? Also did you have the HDPP? This is not the same as max tow.
Thanks
