Anyone else find the plastic rings on the Max Recline seats stick them in the lower back and are very uncomfortable? I took it to the dealership and they looked into it and said there is no service bulletin so there is nothing they can do. Contacted Ford customer service they said take it to another dealer for a 2nd opinion and if they cant fix it I can request a buy back. I assume other people are having the same issue. It could be cured with a foam piece but I don't want to stick anything down in the seat that might get caught up in the mechanism. This is on a 2021 F150 Limited I have only had for a few months and have 1500 miles on it. I find myself not driving it unless I have to because it is so unconformable.

I haven't noticed this on my 22 KR with the max recline seats..... So these rings are an issue for you when the seat is in the upright position, not when fully reclined, right ?? I can check mine tomorrow and see if I can even see these rings in my seats. I only have about a 1000 miles on my truck (just came in 3/30) but so far, these are extremely comfortable seats to me

I have a 21 Platinum with 22k miles with the full recline seats. My wife is handicapped and rides with the passenger seat partially reclined all the time. She has never complained of discomfort. Quite the opposite... she loves the seat comfort. I have not felt any issues with the driver's seat.

My seats are very comfortable . The drivers seat fold point has a little gap but passenger does not ... no sure why . I seem to have forgottent about max recline . I dont expect to use it . I imagine a small diameter foam roll would suffice to cover those rings if needed and theres enough space to hide such a foam roll behind ir underneath the back seat . Maybe Ford could pay for the foam roll since limited sets us back about 80K or more.....

Something doesn't seem right about your seats. I find myself enjoying the comfort of my truck more than my Cadillac. And the seats are the best part!

Those almost look like some sort of temporary retainer clip or something from assembly. Does anybody have a picture of the same spot on their truck with these seats to compare?

It is in the upright position. I haven't used them in the recline position. The drivers seat seems worse than the passenger but they can feel them also.

To me it looks like the clip you usually see in the back seat to secure car seats.

I took this short video of my KR's driver's seat today. I didn't dig very far into the seat ....but the white parts look to be tubes of some sort.... maybe for the inflatable lumbar or ventilated seat back ??? Not sure. But I definitely do not feel mine when sitting in the seat. And they are very well covered / protected by the seat cushion......

Thanks for the video, that was helpful. It almost appears my seat cushion is not back as far as yours. Also after digging a little more I found straps with clips on them that are not attached to anything. I cant feel where they would attach but they would defiantly hold the seat in place. i attached pictures. Could you see if you have them and they are attached.

it Would appear based on the clips you found that you bottom seat cover is not properly installed. The clips are supposed to go around that bar and clip underneath the seat.
if you zoom in on the picture by the yellow plug you should be able to see where one of them goes. The other one goes in the same spot a couple of inches over from there.

I had to have my driver's seat bottom leather replaced and noticed when my seat would go up to my ride height that I would fell a slight drop and could feel stuff near my lower back buttocks.

The white clips hold the seat bottom on the frame. There are four, two outside edge and two in the middle.

The black plastic clips you are showing in your picture wraps under the seat and snaps onto a frame bar. When not in place your bottom seat cushion can slightly move out of place and down to low in the seat frame. Have the dealer install those clips and all will be better!

I have the exact same issue on my 21 limited. The dealership in my area wanted to charge me $300 to fix the seats saying I modified them. In someways I’m glad others are reporting this issue. I’m taking mine back in to same dealer next week to address this. Will report back.
